Public Play at Legacy
While Legacy at the 19 is a semi-private course, we proudly welcome public guests to enjoy our championship layout, practice facilities, and full-service amenities.
Tee Time Pricing
Rates vary based on the day of the week, time of day, and time of year. The most accurate way to view current pricing is through our online tee sheet. Simply select your preferred date and time to see the exact rate for that slot.
Public Booking Info
Tee times for public play are available up to 7 days in advance. If you'd like to take advantage of a 14-day booking window, check out our membership options. Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays before 10 AM, and select tee times on Tuesdays, are reserved exclusively for members. Tee times can be booked online or by calling the Pro Shop. Walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability.
Practice and Amenities
We have two practice greens available to all players, and a full-service bar open during normal hours. Our driving range is open to the public daily—small bags of golf balls are $6 and large bags are $10. Rental clubs are available for $75 per set and are subject to availability.
Dress Code
Shirts, shoes, and pants are required. Shirtless players will be asked to leave.
Course Policies
No outside alcohol is permitted on the property. Carts may not enter the parking lot. Only two riders are allowed per cart—no riding on the back of carts. Violators of cart or alcohol policies will be asked to leave immediately.

COURSE RENOVATION
We're committed to bringing you a remarkable golf experience
Our recently completed course renovation project elevated overall aesthetics, playability, safety, and challenges, ensuring every round played at Legacy Golf Course is exceptional. Significant updates include new greens on holes 1, 2, and 10, and a full redesign of hole 11 to create a challenging water hole that will be sure to attract golfers from outside North Iowa.
Other renovations include the realignment of all fairways. Recognizing the importance of water management, a new irrigation system will be implemented. This system will contribute to the health and vibrancy of the course and improve sustainability and environmental stewardship efforts.
These updates began when the Pritchard Family took ownership of the former Mason City Country Club in 2022. Joe and Pam Pritchard felt it was important to preserve this local community asset that had been in decline for several years.
